I have been into programming for a long time. Just never had the resources or time to learn it till recently. I was wonderingif anyone could give me some places or tut''s to look at for network coding in both unix and windows. I have looked around only found a couple very vague places that dont offer much more then the source code and a couple of comment lines. Any help would be great thx RanBlade "Passion is what drives you to stay up until 4am fixing that bug that hardly anyone would notice...Passion is where great games come from, if you dont live and breathe games you shouldn''t be in the games industry." - Dave Pottinger, Ensemble Studios

There is a library called HawkNL, released under the LGPL, that you might want to take a look at. It has been tested on a lot of platforms, Linux and Windows among them, and has been written with games in mind. You could grab the source and take a look at how it''s done, or just use it for what you need.

If you use the BSD socket API, just about the only thing you have to add on windows is WSAInit()/WSACleanup(). Some error enums are named differently, but that''s nothing a few new constants and #ifdefs can''t cure (heck, they even differ depending on what UNIX flavour you''re using).
