Hey all, I am working on a turn based strategy game titled Battle Chief and was wondering if some people would like to check it out and give me some feedback. There are units that you can move around and attack other units with. Note that there is no way to win yet and the map is completely random, but it is still playable. The only serious bug I am aware of is that some of the graphics won't show up properly on systems that don't support scissor rects. You can download it from: www.flyingfuzz.com/fuzzsoft Simply unzip and run. It also comes with a font that must be installed in order for the game to use it, but otherwise it will simply use the system font. Note that the initial video settings are set to 60hz for compatibility, but this can be changed in the options menu. Requires DX9. Hotkeys are: EXPLODE SELECTED UNIT - X EXPLODE ALL UNITS - CRTL X END TURN - E SLOW MOTION - S Enjoy! - Fuzz [edited by - Holy Fuzz on September 23, 2003 5:57:54 PM]

First of all, I realized that the map in the pervious version was really small, so this one is larger and you can scroll around on it.

Second, here's a couple of screenshots:

The game''s great! Only the graphics are kind of hard on my eyes... A lot of very bright green... Maybe it is time to ask for some artist help on the Help Wanted forums?

lol, yeah, programmer art. ;-)

There''s gonna be more different types of terrain in the final version, so that should help some. Is still want to keep the cartoony feel, though.

I''m more wondering about the gameplay though. Whether there are any glaringly annoying things that stick out or things that work particularly well.

Thanks!
- Fuzz
