Hi all, I''m a beginner in directX programming and I try to understand how the api works. As I already know C# programming, I chose to learn managed DirectX instead of usual directX. I''d like to know how to switch to windowed mode from fullscreen mode. I''m using managed DirectDraw. I tryed to make a new device (display = new Device()) and reseted all surfaces (with new). But when I do this, I get an exception (when a new surface is createed). I think that I don''t know what surfaces really are. Are they attached to a device? Once a surface is created, is it possible to change its properties? I think these are realy stupid questions for experienced users that''s why I can''t see any topics about this out there. Please heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!

You should use the ''IDirect3DDevice8::Reset()'' methode the switch to another video mode (or from windowed to fullscreen of back).
All surfaces will be lost when using this methode!
