Framerate boost with new SDK update

So I downloaded the DX SDK update and re-compiled my works. Hmm seems like the ID3DXFont object now requires (well not requires) a ID3DXSprite to operate! Does this mean GDI is out of the picture? I guess so, cuz I got a very nice framerate boost =)

My app also saw a pretty big framerate boost. I went from 100fps to just under 120 fps. I also think it was because the DX team re-did some of the font code.

Kudos to the DX Team!
