need advice on how to improve the camera''s view. this is for my 3d map editor. im testing a map of 128 x 128 vertices (which will be less than that, to about 32 x 32). anyway, i would like to see the whole map (only drawing the vertex locations with cubes). right now, i cant edit the map the way i would like because i cant get a good picture of what the terrain looks like. plus, at the moment, i need to move the camera around alot. what i want is the entire scene on the screen - perhaps from a top-down view. i know about the fov. currently my "camera" has the following perspective: fov = 60, near = 1, far = 10,000. Oh, i just thought of this....if i maximize the window, everything in the scene gets scaled accordingly. how can i keep the scale in the scene the same so that i can effectively view more of it?!
