Do you have to remove the DX9 SDK before installing the Update2003? .lick

Yes. Otherwise it supposedly screws up some registry settings and paths, and that''s no fun (been there, during last sdk update)!

Yes. I believe there were a couple of messages about this on the DirectXDev mailing list. Someone ran into some problems trying to install the new update without uninstalling the old SDK. I believe this was with the beta version of the update but one of the MS guys wrote in and said that it was best to uninstall the old SDK and then install the update.
