Torque engine for an RTS

Hi, I plan to use the Torque engine for a small RTS, with about 100 unities, in order to have quicker development time, and to have a demo/prototype soon (?). As I know torque engine is mostly designed for FPS, so I am a bit nervous about it : * Can it handle so many characters ? * Can I use the network code for an FPS * Can I use the path finding, at least for one unity, for a big level ? * As RTS are basically, 2D games, is it easy to create some 2D maps from a level ? Any other pro / Con ? Thanks in advance, Emmanuel
