Hello, I read threw the book game programming all in one and up to dx it all made sense. My problem was that I could not get mirus to work and it seemed it made it more difficult than it accualy was. I was wondering if i have to use mirus to run DX or can i do it without that. All the seperate header files and the very small amounts i could do with it made it seem like i was learning mirus for nothing. Is there a way to program DX without mirus, or a group of headers that is more adaptible and easier to understand?

mirus is just a set of wrapper functions and classes that comes with book. The books uses them to simplify the learning of DirectX. You don''t need them to do directx, but all the examples and lesson in the book use mirus, so if you want to work without it. You will just have modify all the source code appropitly.
