OpenGL SuperBible programs
Hi all,
I am using the SuperBible to learn the basics of OpenGL and in it there is a terrian program, from Chapter 8. The terrain programs are not running properly, as the terrain is supposed to bank and pitch when I use the mouse but all that happens is that the terrain gets all skewed.
Anyone who is using this book who can shed some light on the situation would be great.
Thanks,
Don

I had problems with the terrain programs, too. I don''t think any of them worked properly when I was using the book. Try going through the code and seeing where the authors went wrong
You might also want to try the book''s website, to see if any updates were posted...

Hehe, if I could go thru the code and see what is wrong, then I would be making the Doom III killer app! LOL
Seriously, I am a newbie OpenGL programmer and wouldn''t be able to tell what parts of the code are good and/or bad.
Thanks for the help though,

i dont have the book, but maybe the view perspective or ratio is incorrect or something
check to make sure its 45.0f, which is common
im kind of new to open gl too, so if this doesnt make sense, check out some nehe.gamedev.net stuff, and you''ll see that while intializing opengl, there is a function called to specify how the camera see''s stuff, and fov needs to be 45.0f.... you can change this number to achieve effects like fish eye lens and other stuff.
