in basic code how can i control sharpness,contrast,brightness,etc.

there is a function in the windows API to change the gamma ramp -SetGammaRamp - you''ll have to setup your own ramp and pass it to this func.

Contrast and brightness as well as color balance can be controlled by a gamma ramp.

However, sharpening and softening require convolution filters, which sample multiple source pixels to get the result pixel.

Search for "image filtering algorithms" in google (or similar) for more info.

Access the pixel data somehow (lock?), modify it according to desired effect formula (, and unlock it?). No need to YELL

(Accessing device memory is usually done by "locking", but i''m not familiar with Blitz3D terminology on this).
