Has anyone every done a function point analysis for a game. I want to know what questions were asked to determine the complexity adjustment values. I hope someone reads this.

Could you explain function point analysis? I''ve not heard of it before. I did a search on the internet, it seems to be a code metric.

It's a means for estimating the size of a project during planning... in the same arena as COCOMO.

As for the OP, I've never done a function point analysis for a game, but maybe in trying to come up with questions... if you took the approach that the gamer is the user with external input through a controller and the external output is through graphics/audio then you can come up with a fair set of values for analysis. Just remember that if it's your first game project of doing function points, then you're probably going to have a high degree of error between your planned and actual. As you do more iterations and refine the adjustment values, your estimates will become better.
