I own an XG-Flash for my GBA. I have plenty of experience in C/C++ programming. I can use SDL, OpenGL, and parts of DirectX. Anybody have some advice on starting up for GBA. From what I understand, it is alot like DOS. I have tried the HAM SDK, but I would rather use a more open library, but I can settle with that if I have to. If you have a flashcard, please share about that too!

Hi I would suggest getting the popular DevKitAdvanced compiler which is just GCC targeted for gba programming. I would also suggest getting some hardware documentation from gbadev.org and devrs.com/gba and writing your own library. As you have stated you should have sufficient experience to complete such a task. Good luck if you have further questions you can email me at Royale00@hotmail.com.

Thanks for the advice, Royale00.
Has anybody ever had any luck with HAM SDK? Is there any way to use it so you don''t get the inrto when you run it?
