how to pause *.wav files

What exactly is happening, by that I mean what errors if any ?

Should just be able to DSBuffer->Stop, to pause it
then DSBuffer->Play(DSBPLAY_DEFAULT) to resume.

If that isn''t working then you may not of initialised DirectSound (Audio) correctly.

i use directperformance->stopex to pause and get the position of directsegment then i play directperformance->playex and set directsegment->setstartpoint and directsegment->setlength as Microsoft MSDN say but it not work. i don''t know how to do it.
