Hi All, just wanted to get some feedback on the prject im working on. The project was born six months ago, while i was playing the good old Bards Tale on my Amiga(in a weak moment of nostalgica). The game is in the post ww3 Europe where the player starts out in a remote village and begins to explore "the new world"(yeah, you have heard it before). The Badlands are made in Flash. That makes it an hybrid game(PC & Mac) and its possible for you to play it where ever you might be; school, work or home. One other feature is that it is going to be possible to save your character online. Click Click Click to see what this is all about: The Badlands Project All feedback is good feedback. It smells a little like Fallout. At least the font and the textures look stolen from that game.
So do the buttons and most of the graphics... Not much to this "beta" either... Two buttons, and that''s it? Hmmm... Maybe it would be a good idea to actually put in a little more content first? And settle the conflicts with Interplay in advance.
Ok,
thanks for the creative feedback.
Nice to be a part of a community.

Flame on!

Have a nice day anyway.

Some positive input from an Anonymous Poster...

If you release the game commercially (which might be necessary given that many of the graphics look like they''re taken from the Fallouts) then you might end up seeing your project go *poof* as Interplay ends your project in one fell swoop of litigation. I personally would hate to see this happen; having been a longtime fan of the original Wasteland, then Fallout 1 and 2, an online evolution of the game would be hella cool. I would suggest changing the UI graphics and font to something of your own devising, so that your project does not live in fear of being discontinued for legal reasons.
Hi "Anonymous",
and thx for the input. I understand your concern, with the simularity to the Fallout-series.
But it is intended to look the same, and to feel the same, since this fan-made game is in the same world as Wasteland. All the graphic is made from scratch and not stolen, not even the textures, exept the armor and gun icon, witch is going out of the next "beta". The game will not cost anyone anything, it will be completly free. But there might be some legal issues now since Brian Fargo has bought back the Wasteland-license. So there is plans to make this game a true stand alone from Wasteland, not even mentioning the original. Hope this clear things up.As for my english: it suxx. I have been looking for an "text checker" and found one, a canadian guy. So from now on the engilish in the game and in the website will be better. But my writing in threads like this will continue to suck.

Have a nice day!
