Hello. I''m using VB''s control MSComm to read from a serial port. It works fine, but the device that I''m reading from sends the data when I press a button. It seems to send the data in blocks. Then, it''ll add that to the input buffer. Now, here''s my problem. I only want to deal with the last line of the input buffer each time. Is there a way I can extract it from the buffer? Also, since it sends the data in blocks, I''ll occasionally get: 1+00000056. 47 This isn''t good. I want to wait until I get a newline character. Any suggestions on how to perform this?
