indexed streams?

i have a question. Does OpenGL support Indexed vertex streams in the same style as directX, with a call to something like glIndexPointer()? If so, could the index stream be used like this: glVertexPointer(...); glTexCoordPointer(...); glIndexPointer(...); glDrawArrays(...); Thanks in advance for any help.
