'Why CS degrees suck rocks'

Oh, nothing so bad as that has happened to me, but to at least 3 or 4 other, older people I know. I''m still a student. With the way companies seem to operate today, I have no doubt I''ll get a job, but after the first month I''ll be checking the job listings, looking for something better, just in case.

I''d prefer to be able to enter a company and start building a career, but it seems like I''ll have to constantly be looking around for better opportunities; never quite knowing when my current employer will get acquired/downsized/go bankrupt, etc.

It''s bad for morale when you have to constantly second guess your employer and the company''s future. I rather not just use up a company for resume filler and experience while they use me up for whatever I can offer them for their 6 to 24 months of development.
