Sky colors and shading

I know this has already been posted multiple times on the current sky thread, but nobody seems to notice it, so i''m giving it a thread of its own. Once clouds are all generated (lets say we did it mostly on the GPU taking 3 2-octave 256x256 perlin noise and combining), how would i accomplish the great colors and shading that you see in realistic skies. I have seen it done very well with a few peoples'' skies, and anything that can be given without exposing trade secrets would be greatly appreciated. --===LITHIC===-- --===WWW.Decimation.TK===--

wow... never seen the FAQ for the forum before... never even knew it had one. This is really helpful, and answered several more questions i will have to address in the near future.
