Hey.

Nice game. Good graphics. The gameplay lacks a bit..and the physics arent too in depth. You need to add better or some gravity and let the car fly around abit more =) like when you go over a jump it shouldnt stick to the road.. more cars would be cool too..i mean to race with.

Geforce 3
AthlonXp 2.08Ghz
512Mb Ram

Runs fine..60fps at least.

Keep up the good work =)
NOT LIKES
o swimming textures, even when forced to 8xAA and 16xAF by display driver - ughhhh!
o going in reverse, steering has no affect
o when car gets airborne, it does so at the wrong time - too late - basically the "in-flight" look is all wrong - gravity?
o skid marks "wipe off" instead of fading out
o shouldn''t have car skid brake even when brakes are lightly touched
o roll speed of wheels doesn''t agree visually with the speed of the car
o overhead camera viewpoint doesn''t rotate with car

LIKES
o look of car
o nice install
o nice loading screen
o reflections in car windows
o nice crash sound into cop car
o nice bumping action when going off-road
o shadows, especially of terrain on car - nice car soft shadow too
o very nice matching of car engine sound with car speed
o nice blinking light effects on buildings and car and tire smoke
o smooth transition in and out of full-screen mode
o nice camera work and camera angle choices (except for overhead viewpoint problem)
o nice touch with the car hunching back on its rear shocks when taking off and diving when braking and leaning when turning
o had a nice arcade-style feel to it, if that''s what you''re shooting for - kinda reminded me of NFS series
o in-car camera view would be cool

had no fps reading that i could find, so i can''t give you that, but no problems that i could see (no hitches or anything like that)

hth
Lacks some physics elements to be perfect, runs great on my system (p4 2.4 GeForce4 mx440). Feels like playing Need for Speed on a Playstation 1
Dislikes - Textures look pixelated and smudged from distance. Lack of physics (car glued to the road). Headlights dont actually project light. Drunk controls. Overall very slow performance. Everything else is cool
Thanks to everyone who took a look at the game!

not sure how to fix those pixolated graphics.

NEW VERSION UPLOADED- but still has some errors

i made a new version that allows the car to turn in reverse.

please let me know how performance was on your machine.

too slow/too fast - what is your machine and how much video memory do you have.

Thanks

Excellent, very impressed from an indy point of view.

Just a few questions if you dont mind my asking

1. Did your write the engine yourself?

2. Is the game world generated with a heightmap or is this a modeled level?

3. How long have you been working on it?

Great job, cant wait to see more.

That''s why it''s so slow. Dark Basic has pretty high system requirements.
