gmax bugs

Has anyone using gmax experienced any bugs where gmax just shuts down with no warning. Most recently it has happend when I try to select the vertex leaf of an editable mesh on the modifier stack. If so does anyone know if there is a fix for it.

They sent out an e-mail saying that if you had Gmax installed and then install the Windows RPC patch, errors would occur. Check with their site for an update.

I was given the impression that that was only corrupting the *.gmax files. I''m just having these odd instances of it shutting down.
