hardware skinning
is it possible to do hardware skinning with directx 9 and with out using a shader? and not using the built in dx skin class.

i wish to implement skinning through hardware, but want to try to avoid a shader if possible.

yes. you can set some matricies somewhere, i dont have the dxsdk on me atm, but i think its been around since dx7, its called something like matrix pallette skinning from memory. just look around the sdk
