Hey all, I need some help with regards to lighting my terrain/environment. My engine generates terrain and loads in various 3DS models. Does anyone know any fairly simple way of getting a night time lighting effect for the whole environment. I have been messing around with some lighting settings and can only really get to models to light. Is it a matter of calculating normals for the terrain aswell? Any help would be great. Cheers (o)..A Bee bit my bottom, now my bottom Big..(o)

You should have normals calculated for your terrain too, yes.
This is probably a silly question...

What is a normal???

Check the 6th chapter of the Red Book. It should answer all your questions, and more.
