Point Distance Attenuation

Has anyone else used the SetPointDistanceAttenuation func when using sprite points? Trying to make a particle system, and from a distance everything is great. However, when up close, the particles are all drawn too small and it just doesn''t look right. No matter what values I pass to the SetPointDistanceAttenuation function, it never seems to make a difference. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows of a URl to some tutorial for it. Searching for "SetPointDistanceAttenuation" on Google produced no hits.

Sorry i can''t help you, but i have a related problem : i just can''t find a tutorial on the point sprite extension (except the specs, but i''d like something more like ... commented source code . Can you help me ?
