Texture anti-alias?

It seems that the textures I use in my software didnt have any filtering to make it smooth when closer to the camera. You see the squares if the pixels instead. How do I set the texture to be smoothed with fiter? I would appreaciate help on this matter.

Use IDirect3DDevice9::SetSamplerState() with D3DSAMP_xFILTER (x denotes MIN, MIP or MAG).
