Hi folks... Is there in directX a way to load a music file (midi... wave ... etc) from a buffer (like D3DXCreateTextureFromFileInMemory for the texture) ? because I would like making a only big file with all audio.. ( like a sound.mul and soundidx.mul in UltimaOnLine )... I've checked in SDK and there isn't nothing that could help me.. byezzz ^__^ [edited by - BlueChip on October 24, 2003 9:15:30 AM]

Look up the GetObject method, its part of the IDirectMusicLoader8 interface. Also, read the section "Loading Audio Data" under the DirectMusic docs.
