Am I maybe wrong, but wasn''t there an OGL 2.0 that was supposed to be released sometime ago. Or was it a 1.x? I really thought it was OGL 2.

I know only that which I know, but I do not know what I know.

OpenGL 2 is only a pose-name, and was never out (except for some creative cards whose drivers believe in supporting 2.0) ...

You can use OpenGL 1.5 if your driver supports it. if it doesn''t you can look into the supported extentions of your card/driver...
i heard about ATI''s Catalyst 3.9 supporting nearly anything, and nVidia supporting OGL 1.5 in detonator 50+ (linux). i don''t know weather "forceware detonator" 52 already supports ogl 1.5.

ATI 3.9 Cats (according to GLView) support everything upto GL1.5 apart from G_EXT_Shadow_funcs.

It also doesnt have the GLSL strings in its extensions string, although apprently the entry points are there.
