GTA2 like car physics

The game my friend and I are making is from a top down perspective like GTA2, and we''d like to model the motion of the cars to be similar to the way they are modeled in GTA2. I''ve been looking for some sort of article that describes the physics, but have come up empty handed. Can anyone recommend any articles and/or tutorials that describe the physics needed to move cars in a GTA2 manner?
