Question about OpenGL´s own data types
There is no difference at all:
GLfloat is the exact same as float, they are just type casted. The only benefit in using them would be if you port your OpenGL program to a system that, say, doesn''t use 32 bit integers (or a similar issue) and the typedef uses the appropriate datatype. In general it really doesn''t matter and I don''t personally use them, I use the standard C datatypes.
