D3DXCreateTexture problem...

Hello. Has anyone had any trouble using the D3DXCreateTexture function? It seems pretty strait forward to me, but for some reason it freezes the video card memory, so that it will only display the one texure I load into it from memory the FIRST time. I have to reboot the computer to get it to change. I''m using a Voodoo Banshee with 14MB and VC++, if this helps any. The D3DXCreateTextureFromFile works fine. I just can''t seem to create a blank texture, and then use D3DXLoadTextureFromMemory function to fill it, without somehow accidently locking the first texture I do into the video card for eternity. If anyone has any info whatsoever, I could use all the help I can get. -- SH
