specular color

...how to use specular color with textures applied? they sees to vanish when i use textures...

They are still there, but they''re probably not having the effect you would think. For example if the specular color is white then the texture will just show as if the color of the vertex was white at that location. To get an effect more to your liking consider shaders.

Enable separate specular color. That way, specular color is applied after texturing instead of before. See the spec for more information.
glLightModeli(GL_LIGHT_MODEL_COLOR_CONTROL, GL_SEPARATE_SPECULAR_COLOR);

Oh yeah almost forgot about that. However per-pixel lighting still looks nice.
