3dmax uvw mapping with 3ds->openGL

...it doesnt work fine when i import .3ds files,why? is there something that should be fixed with texture coordinats in 3ds importer...please help,this bothers me for a long time and i dont have much time to write my own exporter(or i should say that i dont know how ) /i see lot people hanging around this site,but i never saw that anybody here is from yugoslavia(well former now is serbia and montenegro),people around here in belgrade do other kind of stuff like freuds or something to make for living...sorry about this.../
