Can anyone recomend a tool for UML modelling? I''d like one which will produce java code from models and hopefully even roundtrip code back to models as well. Oh and if it''s free I''d be really happy.

the two most known free ones are argoUML and visual paradigm.
However, in my opinion, none of them are really satisfying. You don't save time but the opposite, the old "pen & paper" is still the best one! ;-)
About commercial software, i believe there are some good ones, but in that case they quicly cost a lot of money.

Poseidon for UML by Gentleware isnt too expensive ($200)- and the community edition is free (but you cant print the diagrams or paste them into documents with the free version..). I like using it anyway.
Alternatively my Software Engineering teacher recommended just using a combination of pen and paper and Powerpoint diagrams when you had to share them over the net/present them in neat fashion.
