Hi!I have a problem with texture coordinates: I must calculate u,v ,the tex coords needed by Direct3D, for a given point that lies on a polygon. I have texture coordinates equations but I don''t understand how to determine the texture space axes. The only things that I have are world coords and u,v of all polygon''s vertices and I would like to know u and v of a point on the polygon that doesn''t belong to that set of vertices. Thanks Zcode

one easy way is to predifine them before runtime. (like loaded through a file or something) there are ways to figure out texture coords through the game loop, but this seems like it would take too much proceesor time. maybe I''m wrong.

But..how can I predefine texture coordinates if the
problem is just that I don''t know hot to define them?
I can define them manually only for simple cases (ex: a square (0,0)(1,0)(0,1)(1,1)), whereas when I have arbitrary vertices of
an arbitrary polygon...-maybe I am wrong too but- I need a calculation in order to fill the u and v fields.
