Hi, Does anyone know of a mobile phone which allows the developer to record images from the camera, do some image processing on the picture, and then upload the processed image to a PC? Also, any phone which can also be plugged into a serial port would be good.

Nokia 3650/7650 and Sony Ericsson P800, all those phones can do it.

Easiest possible way is to write a program that captures an image, makes whatever image processing needed and sends it via bluetooth to your PC. Fast, reliable and no problems with cables.
You can also send pictures to other bluetooth devices (like printer for immediate printing etc.)

Download Symbian SDK for more info, for nokia visit forum.nokia.com , for sonyericsson visit www.sonyericsson.com

If this is a commercial project and you would search for someone to do it you can contact me at kherin@go2.pl

Hope it helps
