Hello! Do you know of there are any free C# compilers on the net to download? I''ve never used C# but i thought i should give it a try, but it would be nice to have a compiler first so I can compile my programs and not only do programming in theory. I''ve never written a single line c# and I therefor don''t want to pay a lot of many for a compiler when I don''t know if I''m going to use the language at all.

If you're using Windows you can get a free C# command-line compiler from Microsoft by downloading the .Net Framework SDK http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/downloads/howtoget.asp. If you want a free IDE you can grab SharpDevelop from http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/
