In MFC How do we add strings in multicolumn list boxes(Let''s say in the second column)?

First off you probably need a CListCtrl, not a CListBox. CListBox is generally single-column in nature, CListCtrl is much more column-friendly.

Now you need to set up the CListCtrl as a "Report" style in your properties, or use LVS_REPORT in your Create.

Now you can set up the LV_COLUMN structures and make a call to InsertColumn, and you can use SetItem to set the subitems (and/or fill out an LV_ITEM structure with submembers)
