Torrance-Sparrow Paper
Does anybody know, how I can get access to the paper from Torrance Sparrow "Theory for Off-Specular Reflection from Roughended Surfaces" from 1967 ?
I already checked ACM and asked the editor in chief of the magacine. He says that it will be available online on their website in six months ...
Thanks,
- Wolf
The original paper appeared in the Journal of the Optical Society of America (volume 57 if my sources are correct) so you may want to see if you can find archives of the journal; Google is a great place to start. I don''t know if you''ve tried but you can sometimes find transcriptions of older papers on Google if you go 20-30 pages deep; its a lot of work but its worth it.
Even better, if you have access to a public library with good selection, they will sometimes have graphics papers, but usually not as old as the 1960s. A college or university library is very likely to have a copy if you can get permission to view their materials. Failing all of that your best shot is to wait for ACM to put it up, annoying as that may be.
Good luck with your search.
