resource scripts

I''m trying to make some dialog windows with resource scripts but I''ve realized a problem I''m going to have later when I try adding images. The resource scripts take "dialog units" instead of actual pixels. This makes it hard for me to make an image of a specific size (using a static control). If I add it in manually later there is no guarentee that it won''t overlap something else. I wouldn''t have to worry about it if I weren''t trying to support the new bubbly stuff with Windows XP. What can I do?

Check out mapdialogrect or something like that
create a picture to the nearest dialog unit
then resize to exact units when app starts
