The best way I found to read through LaMothe''s book was NOT to use his code. Its not bad code-its just dated a little, go step by step read a section, look at his code, and write your own. Statr with creating a DD Object, then move on to initializing it, creating a surface, setting the video display ect... Thats how I learned it anyway. I find it very hard to understand someone elses code, so its easier to re-write your own.
