I believe:

glBegin(GL_TRIANGLES);
glVertex3f(0.0f,-1.0f,0.0f);
glVertex3f(0.0f,1.0f,1.0f);
glVertex3f(0.0f,1.0f,-1.0f);
glEnd();

could be the problem.

glBegin(GL_TRIANGLES);
glVertex3f(0.0f, -1.0f, -1.0f)
glVertex3f(1.0f, 1.0f, -1.0f);
glVertex3f(-1.0f, 1.0f, -1.0f);
glEnd();

should yield better results.

I wouldn''t quite say because your having a problem open gl is broken.
Well, thanx. And its just because I tried it multi times. Thanx again!

Whoa, guys. Still doesnt work!
"That MSMAGNET program trashed my hard drive!"
1. OpenGL is NOT broken - your code is.
2. I only skimmed you code - but did you set your drawing color anywhere in there? If not, then do it in InitGL like this: glColor3f(1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f); for red drawing.

Actually you program works just fine and does excatly what you ask it to do... ( from just looking at it )

However it dont think that it was you intention to display a black triangle on a black background :B

What I mean to say is that you never define a draw colour.. ( The default colour isn't defined, so it could be anything really - but I think most implementations would zero out the memory before use, wich means black (

Try inserting

glColor3f(1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f);

before the call to glBegin

This should make the triangle white...

dont let these little setback know you out...

Every state is well defined on start up, and the initial color is white.
The problem is that you are drawing your triangle perpendicular to the screen. Since polygons are infinitesimally thin, when you look at them side on you don't see anything!

Try:
glVertex3f(0.0f, -1.0f, -1.0f)glVertex3f(1.0f, 1.0f, -1.0f);glVertex3f(-1.0f, 1.0f, -1.0f);

in your DrawGLScene function as MrP said.

In summary - OpenGL is not broken, your code is
