is it possible to do page flipping in directx windowed mode? when I try to create a backbuffer with the primary surface it complains about not being in exlcusive mode (which happens to be fullscreen). when I try to create a surface with the the BACKBUFFER caps I get an error complaining about incorrect capabilites flags. If it isn''t possible, how would I go about double buffering on windowed mode?

The easy way: Create an offscreen surface serving as a backbuffer and blit it to the primary surface each frame.

The hard way: Overlays CAN (in theory) be used for page-flipping in windowed mode.

Create a offscreen surface the same size as the primary one and draw everything to there (like a backbuffer). Then instead of flipping, just do a blit. Cya L8R!
