im wanting to use mat id''s in my engine so that my textures look better (ie. i can tile them) now i was thinking of only having mat id''s on statics, but the problem is: batching and culling i would transform them at load time (the statics) and place them into groups but then they cant be culled easily, so i was thinking of having a dynamic buffer so i just send in my transformed statics according to mat id and would make culling much more simple. any ideas on this method? better ways to do it so i minimize the draw index primitive calls? thanks
