Try this shape out (copy it into notepad or something to see it in monospaced font). --------****-------- ------********------ ----************---- --****************-- ******************** --****************-- ----************---- ------********------ --------****-------- This is for a 2:1 width:height ratio (ala Ultima 8). If you want to use a 1:1 ratio (ala Ultima Online) just remove every second column. You could expand it out to more lines if you want, just follow the pattern... To move one diamond to the lower-right, just add two plus half the width of a tile to the screen x-coordinate, and add the whole number part of tileheight/2 to the y-coordinate.
