Now I have a following problem: I have to write quite a large text on a TEXTURE, all this text being generated (i.e. the texture) RUNTIME. I do not want to use textured quads, and the font is stored in a bitmap. I thought I could use a IDirectDrawSurface object which contains the font, and a second one mapped directly to the texture. However in the DX9.0 SDK from M$ I could not find anything regarding this subject (what the hell, it didn''t say anything about linking these two). Help, please! (this is proving to be quite frustrating)
