The code Code A small thing Im working on. The database stuff crashes on me. For others, it just doesn't work. Can anyone look at it and tell me why this is so? The crash kicks me into crt0.c and I don't know why. [edited by - Maega on December 16, 2003 1:06:59 PM]

Use the debugger and go down in the stack trace to find the call in your code which triggered the exception. Make sure that values there, especially pointers, are valid. The debugger is your number-one ally here. If you aren''t adroit with it right now, learn to be.

Well the function calls to the ODBC should fail if the data is invalid right?

Not if you''re passing around NULL or invalid pointers. You''ll typically get just what you are getting - a crash.

Ok.. then I guess I need to look around again

Ive been looking over and over the code and can not see where the problem exists .

Again: USE THE DEBUGGER. It will tell you exactly what''s causing the crash.
