Anyone know how to set a hardware break point in VC.net to break when a memory location is accessed/modified? I see where you set a breakpoint for a memory location, but I''m not sure what the condition should be for the break.

Nevermind, figure it out. Although, now that it''s set it''s not breaking, just sort of freezes for a couple seconds then continues and I see a first chance exception in the debug output window. Anyone know why?

1st, it''s called a watchpoint when a piece of memory is read/written.
2nd, I''ve never used VC.net, so i don''t know why it acts that way, but for alot of processors, setting a hardware watchpoint does create an exception, but the software should be able to handle it and stop execution there.
