Looking for sprites

Anyone know of any sites where I can download some sprites, I''m going to take a break from graphics and write an actual game for a change.
this can be difficult to work with (ahhh the good old days...), but a good old ripper and an amiga emulator would get you sprites, musics, sounds, ect...
There are probably some Windows based rippers available for taking graphics out of MAME roms and SNES emulated roms.
I will not direct you to sites, because it''s illegal to rip graphics out of commercial games, I am just merely pointing it out.

also download the resource packs for the Game Maker program as they contain some useful sound effects an sprites

I don''t have the exat URL but just google that and you can''t miss it. It has sprites from SNES, NES, Genesis games and a bunch more.
