I got D3D working - as in, I can pass in an array of "Transformed, lit vertices" and have it draw a bunch of triangles. Question is, how do I pass in an array of 3d vertices and have it transform them into 2d for me? Like, I have a bunch of vertices between (0,0,0) and (800,800,50), and I want a camera at (100, 100) facing southeast (or whatever). How would I pull this off?

You need to setup the appropriate world, view, and projection matrices. Look in the sdk about the geometry pipeline, it explains all of them.
