I want to start getting into programming programs that communicate over a lan or internet and stuff... but I haven''t a clue on where to start... Anybody with any clues on where to start or any good tutorials, websites, books...? A well known book for Windows network programming can be found here, along with source code from the book and other info:
http://www.sockets.com/

Also, some sample programs help.. There are some at CodeGuru.com here:
http://codeguru.earthweb.com/internet/index.shtml

Try and get some simple samples and follow along. Tweak the code and figure out how it works. Getting a book on the subject is another good way to go.
