Colored 2D lighting

Ok, i additive blended a lightmap to create a light in my game. The thing is that now i have white light, but what if i want different colors of light? I came up with a few ideas, 1-create the colored light lightmap at runtime. I got no idea how to do this. 2-Additive blend the lightmap with a solid color offscreen, then additive blend the new lightmap on the offscreen surface to the screen. This idea seems most promising so far. 3-Create lightmaps of different colors. I really don''t want to do this What do you guy think? Got any other ideas? BTW, remember this is a 2d game... +AA_970+
